Payton was introduced to Basic Animal Health by Carrie Hirshberg, a trusted horsewoman and fellow advocate for equine gut health. Despite multiple treatments, Payton’s mare was still showing signs of ulcers, leaving her searching for a long-term solution. A Diverse Equestrian Background
Payton’s riding journey began at the young age of three years old, starting with dressage for eight years before transitioning into barrel racing. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s top trainers, gaining valuable experience in:

Cutting
These experiences have shaped her into the skilled rider she is today. However, barrel racing remains her passion, as she thrives on the challenges and rewards the sport brings.
Competing & Future Goals
Payton is an active barrel racer, competing at various races throughout the West Coast. She consistently places in the 1D/2D divisions, showcasing her skills and dedication to the sport. Her next big goal is to enter the rodeo scene, starting with NPRA rodeos, and eventually expanding her reach nationwide.
However, at 19 years old, she acknowledges the challenges of traveling and competing at a larger scale—but she has big plans for the future!
Outside of barrel racing, Payton is currently working towards getting into radiology school. Whether she stays local in Seattle or moves back to Arizona, she remains focused on both her education and equestrian career.
